Sometimes how you say it is more important than what you’re saying

You’ve heard that old saying. It’s true in analytics as well.

The New York Times reported a study conducted 10 years ago by The University of California at San Diego: “The average American consumes over 34 gigabytes of data daily.” At the time of that landmark study, daily information exposure had increased 350% since 1980. If that rate held steady over the last 10 years (which is probably increased, a lot!), that means we are exposed to over 40 gigs of information daily.

To put that into context, that’s more than 100,000 words. Per day. Wow.

Understatement of the year: That’s a lot of information. Too much information, really.

That’s one reason we’ve created a new, easy-to-absorb format to share the top line results of our Strategic Growth Analysis (SGA). It’s a fast, mobile-friendly method of sharing the most important information you need to know about how your donors are performing.

The SGA in its entirety will provide your organization with over 100 key fundraising trend metrics, like revenue, retention, long-term value and revenue forecasts. This information identifies what’s working and what areas in your program need improvement to reach your fundraising potential.

However, is 100 metrics too much data for your key decision makers? We think our Executive Summary shows just the right amount, and hope you agree. Click here to see it.
